Connection & Community

Adult Companion Services

Non-medical supervision, socialization, and support that helps an older adult work toward therapeutic or community-integration goals.

Companion support is built around the person’s interests, abilities, and goals. It can reduce isolation, strengthen everyday skills, and make community participation feel more comfortable and achievable.

What support may look like

  • Attending a community activity to build confidence and connection.
  • Practicing budgeting or shopping skills together.
  • Using games or activities to support fine-motor or cognitive goals.
  • Providing verbal cues or supervision while completing a task.
  • Supporting light household or meal tasks when they are part of a therapeutic or community-integration goal.

What this service is not

Adult companion services are non-medical. They do not cover hands-on nursing care, assistance with activities of daily living, activity fees, or services that are only recreational without a support-plan goal.

Individualized planning

The person’s assessment and support plan determine the goals, frequency, and authorized activities. Noble Health coordinates services around that plan rather than using a one-size-fits-all schedule.
